Richard enjoyed a three decades-long career as a Senior Publicist with The Walt Disney Studios and is the author of many novels.
During his tenure in Hollywood, Jordan worked on more than 450 live-action feature films beginning with Down and Out in Beverly Hills through The Hundred-Foot Journey,and with a Who’s Who of motion picture luminaries. His responsibilities for each film included writing press kits, speeches, feature articles and literally thousands of on-screen and technical artists’ talent bios.
Jordan and his publicity teams received numerous accolades including, most recently, the Maxwell Weinberg Publicist Showman Award for their work on “The Help.”
He parlayed his knowledge of film and the arts into the bestselling book But Darling, I’m Your Auntie Mame! which chronicles the history of the Broadway and Hollywood triumphs of the fictional Mame Dennis Burnside character.
In addition, Jordan is the author of eight novels and three novellas, including his series (writing as R.T. Jordan) The Polly Pepper Mysteries. Among the most popular titles in this franchise are Remains to be Scene, Final Curtain, A Talent for Murder and Set Sail For Murder.
In addition to his creative work, Jordan has taught motivational writing seminars at Long Beach State College in California, as well as many other venues around the country.
